11 years have gone by since the day 9 brothers didnt return home from their tour. Take a minute today to remember them, re-read the story, watch the videos, and learn from it. That is how we truly honor their memory. Rest easy brothers.

11 years ago today, nine members of City of Charleston Fire Department lost their lives at the Sofa Super Store Fire. Please take a moment and remember these brave men who left behind their families and fellow firefighters. We will never forget.

This simple disregard of the law resulted in a delay in supplying water at a working fire. Remember parking in front of hydrants is illegal and could lead to this....

This is what happens when you park in front of a hydrant. This was taken last night at the fire on Norway Avenue in the Bromley section of Hamilton. Reminder, it is against the law to park in front of a fire hydrant.

With all the parents doing cartwheels in excitement, it must mean that school is right around the corner. Please take a few extra seconds as you travel the road ways and allow the kids to embark and disembark the bus safely. Remember riding the bus is a big deal for kids and in some cases can be scary. So if you see the flashing lights activated, please come to a complete stop. Good luck to all the kids and teachers!!!
