As I move forward on life's journey, very rarely looking in the rear view mirror sometimes I'm reminded that reflection can be a powerful catalyst for growth. The other morning while meditating and reading scritpure this bus with the trailing van stopped at the red light reminded me of my 2 hour ride down state, shackled in the rear of that same bus. However as I sat there I was reminded how I use to do the same thing 32 years ago in solitary confinement in the confines of a 5X9 cell at Rahway State Prison. Up early, meditating, reading scritpure and gazing out a 6"X48" that faced the NJ Turnpike. A lot of things has changed over years however, I still get up early doing the same routine but now from a bigger room with a wider view.

This remarkable similarity highlights God's unwavering presence and ability to inspire positive change from within four walls and from within the human spirit.
