This new tanker includes a Freightliner chassis with a Cummins 450 HP engine, a five-man cab, a Hale 1,500 GPM pump with dual crosslays, Trident air primer, a 2,000-gallon tank with 10" rear swivel dump chute, stainless steel compartment body, Whelen LED warning lights and scene lights, Zico hydraulic porta-tank rack, and more. This new tanker replaces an older unit that served well. NEW DELIVERY!! Congratulations to Herman Vol. Fire Company on delivery of their Sterling 3,000-gallon elliptical fire tanker. This tanker spent several months at our Cranesville Service Center undergoing an extensive refurbishment process, which has restored the truck to "better than new" condition. It included replacement of the entire subframe for the tank and body, replacement of the chassis rear double rail frame, replacement of the steel wheels and tires with new polished aluminum wheels and tires, upgrade of all compartment and underbody lights with LEDs, rework of all aluminum diamondplate areas, installation of new flip-down side dump chutes, replacement of rear tank fills, replacement of all aging defective pump piping, installation of new LED side and rear scene light, LED tele-lights, and more. We thank Chief Robby Schuler and his members for having us complete this important project! We appreciate it!
