Day Two of a great project at Port Imperial.

Beautiful views of New York City, the Hudson River, and the NY Waterway terminal — but behind the pictures is a lot of planning, communication, and teamwork.

Tonight we had to deal with a major storm, make the right calls, and safely get officers off post and repositioned when needed. That is what security is really about: staying calm, protecting people, and making sure everyone gets home safe.

Being part of the 250th Anniversary celebration is something special. It is a reminder of how great this country is, how lucky we are to live here, and how much work goes into keeping major events safe and organized.

And somehow, on top of all that… it’s my birthday.
59 years old and working the Fourth of July weekend. How did that happen? 😂

Grateful to be working with an incredible group of people and proud to play a small part in something this meaningful.

Port Imperial is a very unique place to secure — waterfront access, ferry traffic, restaurants, residential buildings, vehicle movement, pedestrians, and one of the best views of New York City.

As we prepare for the 250th Anniversary celebration, I’ve had the opportunity to put together the security plan for Port Imperial, including officer deployment, waterfront coverage, communication, supervision, and visible public safety support.

This type of work means a lot to me. After many years in law enforcement and now as the owner of PJF Security Group, I understand that good security is not just about placing officers on site. It is about planning ahead, knowing the property, understanding the risks, supporting the community, and making sure the right people are in the right places.

I’m proud to be part of helping Port Imperial prepare for a historic week on the Hudson. To my friends, family, clients, and property managers who continue to support me — thank you.

And by the way… it’s my birthday on July 4th, and somehow I’ll be here working. How did that happen? lol
