Two days into shop rebuild. Still tearing off the old.

Update on our business.
Demolition and clean up from the fire is nearly complete. Should start rebuilding shop structure on Jan 15.
We hope to have shop operational by March 1st. The sawmill and kiln are going to take longer. Still working on that.
We have temporary heat and power to the warehouse and are conducting business from there. Lumber and Plywood sales with no machining capabilities.

We are temporarily closed due to a fire located outside the shop around the sawmill/kiln area. The South end of our building has collapsed and the roof over the shop has been severely compromised. All of the equipment in the shop is safe. We will start rebuilding as soon as we get the OK from the insurance adjustors which we hear will be soon. If you have any outstanding lumber orders please call or text Brian starting Monday. We are still able to sell hardwood plywood, and will update soon on lumber inventory. The lumber racks are currently supporting the roof so we can’t safely remove anything until we are able to remove debris from the South end of the building. We hope to quickly be back in operation to service our loyal customers! We appreciate all of the calls/texts and well wishes we have received. BIG thank you to the Crawfordsville Fire Department and all of the Volunteer Fire Departments that responded. Thank you Chief Busenbark, Battalion Chief Patton and Chief of Code Enforcement Brian Bechtel for keeping all of your Firefighters safe. Special thanks to our Insurance Agent Darrin Bechtel for coming out within minutes of our phone call the night of the fire, and for feeding us the next day. Thank God for great neighbors for keeping their eyes open and checking on us. So many more people to thank for offering your help! We will update next week on our progress ❤️
