Faculty Spotlight: Leah Spangler
Leah Spangler has been a valued member of the Mount Aloysius College faculty since 2017, bringing both passion and real-world expertise into the classroom. She teaches a variety of upper-level and MBA courses, including strategic management, nonprofit management, fund development, board governance, volunteer management, and organizational behavior. What she enjoys most is the students, getting to know each class’s unique strengths and working alongside them as they grow and succeed. Beyond teaching, she serves as President and CEO of The Learning Lamp, which allows her to integrate meaningful, hands-on service projects with local nonprofits and businesses into her courses, giving students valuable real-world experience. She was drawn to Mount Aloysius for its small class sizes and strong sense of community, where personalized learning truly stands out. Professor Spangler encourages students to pursue careers they are passionate about, emphasizing that loving what you do makes all the difference. Outside of campus, she enjoys volunteering, hiking, and exploring new places, continuing her commitment to both personal growth and community impact.
