If you have an air blower furnace, this is for you.

The importance of changing out your furnance Air filter is more than clean breathing air because it can also save you A Lot of money. Here's what I experienced...

A good friend asked me to assist with their furnace because It was shaking violently. (I'm an HVAC Tech, I got my EPAUniversal).

Examination revealed the air filter failed, pet hair was stuck on the blower wheel. The weight of pet hair on the blower wheel was enough to throw it off balance, causing a slight wobble. Over time, This wobble put stress on the blower motor shaft and caused the motor bearings to fail and the blower wheel to fall apart.

If the air filter isn't changed for a long enough time, sometimes the strong suction of the blower wheel will start pulling debris through and ending up on the blower wheel.

Typical price for parts alone can range between $300 to $500. Add in labor and that's a bit of money better spent on an investment/assets, groceries, fuel, etc.

Please consider having your furnance annual preventative maintenance done by a licensed professional. Have the blower wheel cabinet cleaned/shop vac, a MERV 13 air filter changed every 3 months, inspect/clean the flame sensor as needed, check the door switch and check/adjust the manifold gas pressure for proper W.C.

Hello everyone. Just a reminder. Preventive maintenance helps to keep your appliances running well.

1) Please change out your furnance Air Filter every 3 months or sooner if you have extra furry pets and make sure to follow the little arrow on the air filter so it faces the right way.

2) Please have your dryer vents and the interior of your dryer cleaned annually so you minimize pre mature breakdown.

3) Please vacuum the refrigerator condenser coils yearly so the refrigerator can efficiently remove the heat load.

4) Please consider installing a water heater expansion tank to protect your water heater from premature internal rupture (Excessive water pressure can cause the safety valve leak a little every time it heats up).

5) Please consider using a washer machine cleaner/sanitizer once a month and change the water supply hoses if they are leaking, worn, etc.

6) Please consider using a dishwasher cleaner monthly to keep your dishwasher free from hard water deposits and sanitized.

Having an appliance break down is no fun. Preventative maintenance can help make sure you get the most from your appliance.

Hello everyone. If you own an LG Appliance and it's under 5yrs old, Please call LG to see if you are covered by them. 1-800-243-0000

I say this because I just had a potential customer call me about a refrigerator they bought 4yrs ago. It stopped cooling properly. He called the store they purchased it at and they told him it's not covered.

I called LG at 1-800-243-0000, I gave them the model and serial number and they informed me it's covered under their manufacturer warranty.

I'm glad to be of service.

Please consider having this in your kitchen.
We have multiple fire extinguishers but this looks like a "No Mess" solution.

Most start from simple oil based cooking. A few tablespoons of oil at the wrong temperature and disaster can happen in the blink of an eye. They are more common than people think, yet it can happen to anyone.
