This month, our guest speaker is Anthony Guerrero, who is the San Luis Valley Community Engagement Specialist for Pikes Peak United Way. He works every day to connect community members with valuable information that can be of service to them. His presentation will be about resources available for small business development in Southern Colorado. He will be joined by surprise guests from partner organizations specializing in small business assistance who will mingle with the crowd.

We received this email yesterday, and it got me to thinking that we don't have anyone signed up for that on CMB, but I know there are people around here who do this sort of thing.

I'm emailing you to ask if you might know of any business or group in the local or nearby area that offers moving/unloading labor for hire, particularly this Saturday. I'm moving to a new home in the Baca and I've had two movers from Colorado Springs fall through in the last two days. At this point, I'd prefer to spend the money in Crestone and hire local anyway, so if you know of any contacts, I would be grateful.

Exciting news! We're switching things up a little, offering basic business listings FREE to all businesses.

Upgrades (bolded, in a box, additional advertising, etc.) will still be available, as a one-time fee or 12 monthly payments. Once a membership fee is paid, it is good for the lifetime of Crestone Means Business. No more recurring payments, unless you choose the 12-monthly-payment option - and then you will have that lifetime upgraded membership upon completion of those 12 payments.

We're not planning to refund past payments, but we'll adjust things for all members going forward, so that people who have submitted at least a one-time fee or 12 monthly payments already will have their recurring payments canceled going forward.

We still have to cover the costs of web-hosting, networking events and other business-related expenses, so upgrades and donations are always appreciated! And for those who'd like to make a one-time donation for their basic listing, we've listed that option there as well.

Finally, please be patient with us as we make this transition. We anticipate many business owners may sign up for the free listing this month, and we'll also be going through our database and discontinuing recurring payments for those who have already paid for their membership. Both CMB owners have busy lives, and we promise we'll get to everything as quickly as we can!
