To the Crestwood Community — Thank You for Five Years
I want to tell you a story I don't share often, because it's the reason all of this exists.
Years ago, on my way out of the military and trying to figure out where to plant roots for good, I was on a service call in Crestwood. My customer that day was a woman named Janet. Somewhere between fixing her appliance and finishing the paperwork, Janet started telling me about her town — not in a sales pitch kind of way, just in the way people talk when they genuinely love where they live. The schools. The neighbors who actually know each other. The slower pace that somehow still felt close to everything. She talked about Crestwood the way you'd talk about family.
I called my realtor that same week and told her: stop looking everywhere else. Just Crestwood.
Months later, my family and I moved in. And what started as one conversation with one customer became a five-year relationship with an entire community that I never could have predicted, and honestly still can't fully put into words.
Five Years, 6,000+ Homes
Since then, Appliance Professionals has had the privilege of serving over 6,000 customers throughout Crestwood and the greater Oldham, Henry, Trimble, Jefferson County areas. Six thousand kitchens, laundry rooms, and homes we've been let into — sometimes on someone's best day, more often on a day when something broke and they just needed it fixed right, without getting talked into something they didn't need.
That number doesn't feel like a statistic to me. It feels like six thousand small acts of trust. Every one of those calls shaped how I think about this business and, honestly, about what it means to serve a community well. This industry gave me a front-row seat to this town — its people, its values, the way neighbors talk about the businesses they trust. Being let into that circle has meant more to me than any growth metric ever could.
What This Foundation Has Made Possible
Over the last month, we've been approached with two significant commercial opportunities — the kind of doors that don't open by accident.
The first is a conversation with a nationwide HVAC franchise about a broader partnership. The second is with a franchisee who operates multiple wellness studios across the region, looking for a partner to proactively and actively maintain their equipment — not just show up when something breaks, but build a real maintenance relationship built on trust. Let me clarify — we've already been sent signed contracts on both, and we're taking the time to evaluate them closely to make sure they align with the same standard of service excellence we've built this company on.
Neither of these opportunities happened because we chased them. They happened because of the reputation this community helped us build, one honest service call at a time. Crestwood and Oldham County gave Appliance Professionals its foundation — and that foundation is exactly what's letting us take our first real steps into the commercial space and grow into the kind of organization I always hoped we could become.
This Is Really Just a Thank You
I don't have a big ask attached to this post. No promotion, no announcement that needs your action. I just wanted to take a minute and say thank you — genuinely — to this community.
Thank you for trusting a small, local team with your homes and your time. Thank you for the referrals, the second calls, the reviews, the conversations at the grocery store where you tell us you told a neighbor about us. Every single one of those moments is the reason my technicians get to build real careers, gain real skills, and grow as professionals doing work they can be proud of. Every one of those moments is the reason we get to reinvest in this community instead of just passing through it.
Janet probably has no idea that one conversation on a service call changed the entire direction of my life. But it did. And five years later, this community has done for Appliance Professionals what Janet did for me that day — it opened a door, believed in something before there was much proof to believe in, and gave us room to grow into who we are now.
We're not done. We're just getting started, and Crestwood will always be where it began.
With gratitude,
