Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mine The Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mine (CC&V) is located in Teller County, Colorado, SW of Pikes Peak. Mining activity then ceased for approximately a decade.

Welcome to the Newmont Mining Corporation’s (Newmont's) page for its Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mine (CC&V)! CC&V's efficient operations support Newmont's strategy to lead the gold mining sector in value creation. The Cripple Creek Mining District was mined historically starting around 1891 in multiple underground operations until the 1960s. Small-scale surface mining using the heap-leach gold recovery method began in 1971. Large-scale surface mining followed and has grown into CC&V’s current mining operation, called the Cresson Project.

October is Arts Month!

Art has the power to support mental well-being, bring communities together, and enrich our lives in so many ways.

As we have for many years, we were proud to support the Victor Celebrates the Arts Show & Sale! This special event brings professional and amateur artists from across the country to historic Victor, Colorado, to create "en plein air" – artwork created outdoors, directly from life.

During the week leading up to Labor Day, artists capture the beauty and character of the area within 10 miles of Victor City Hall. The result is a unique celebration of local scenery, creativity, and community.

We’re proud to support events like this that keep the arts thriving and invite people to experience all that Victor has to offer!

Last week, CC&V employees delivered approximately 2,361 pounds of beef and 538.5 pounds of pork to three local food pantries! The meat was sourced from Teller County's Annual 4-H Livestock Auction. The program teaches local kids and teens about raising livestock, showmanship practice, and the honest work it takes to get food on a plate. This donation provides high-quality protein for families across the community and strengthens food security in our region. A massive, heartfelt thank you to the youth who worked to raise and sell these animals, to the CC&V employees who delivered the donation, and to all the community helpers that got the food into the freezers!

We're proud to support the Victor Volunteer Fire Department with a $23,750 community investment awarded through the Victor Community Development Committee (CDC).

The CDCs are made up of local community members who help direct CC&V's community investment funding to projects and organizations that strengthen the communities surrounding our mine site. We're grateful for their dedication, and we're proud to support initiatives that enhance public safety and improve quality of life.

Congratulations to the Victor Volunteer Fire Department!

Speaking of donations, Victor Fire would like to announce that we have been awarded a full grant of $23,750 by Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mine to allow us to purchase two next generation TNT Rescue Systems, Inc. battery powered combo rescue tools for use by our department.

These tools will replace aging tools that rely on gasoline and finicky carburetors. They will allow for simultaneous use in a multi vehicle accident, helping us to provide quicker extraction times which leads to better outcomes.

Thanks again to Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mine for their continued support of our department and helping us to continue to provide excellent service to our citizens.

What a great auction this past weekend!

Each year, CC&V employees participate in the Teller County Livestock Auction, purchasing animals to support our local 4-H youth and the hard work they've invested throughout the year.

The animals are then processed, and the meat will be donated to local food pantries, providing high-quality protein to families across our community. It's a meaningful way to invest in our local youth while helping ensure our neighbors have access to nutritious food.
