Binding vs Serging your custom area rug. Binding is applying a cotton or polyester material to the edge of your rug to give a finished look. Serging is a continuous wrap of yarn around the edge to give an entirely different appearance. Old binding being converted to new serging.

Customer had excessive carpet leftover from a recent installation. They had overpaid for carpet because someone did not measure correctly. She found us and we cut to desired size, serged a matching cotton yarn on edges into three area rugs and fitted them for rug padding. We are delivering them today along with cleaning their wall to wall carpet in the rest of her house. Finding a solution to a problem!

Whether a wool rug is handmade or a Karastan, some are just special. This beautiful old Karastan is one of those special rugs that our customer's mother had for a very long time. We washed, secured ends and added new fringe. Before (pickup) and After (delivery).
