Remember, elections are about qualified people applying for a job to serve their respective community. Tarrant County has experienced inhumanity under the current leadership.

I was going to wait to post this but it’s 2 hours until. To my Madeleine Miller, my campaign manager from the heavens. You believed in me when no one else did. We knew District 6 deserved the BEST. That’s YOU and ME. I’m so proud of you. You’re a strong and kind woman, who keeps family first. You inspire me to be better and the BEST for what we desire. You led the way for a compassionate candidacy, together, we can only pray our dream is realized.

Tiesa Leggett, candidate for City Council in District 6, has my vote as an advocate for small businesses and all the people of Fort Worth. Our rapidly expanding city needs a viable public transportation solution. As a board member of the Tarrant Transit Alliance, Leggett is committed to equality through transportation and the economic development that comes from responsible transit solutions.

Fort Worth is one of the largest cities in the nation. We must provide everyone, residents and visitors, safe and accessible travel options through our region. I will vote for Tiesa Leggett because she’s not only the best representative for District 6, but also a passionate advocate for the entire city.

On the eve of Election Day, we are reminded who Tiesa is, where she came from and what she has accomplished.

She was born at Carswell Airforce Base and grew up surrounded by a loving family in the Baptist Church.

She holds both a bachelors degree from UNT in journalism and a masters degree from UTA in sustainability.

For more than 15 years, Tiesa dedicated herself to her community by working in government affairs and community advocacy. She became a staple in our community through her involvement in education through Blue Zones Project Fort Worth.
Throughout this race, we experienced highs and lows, as this past week Tiesa was the only D6 candidate excluded from an FW police officer association voter’s guide. Despite it all, Tiesa never once has given up on this race or her community. She is in it to win it and we believe she has the education, experience and heart to be the best representation for ALL of district 6!
