One of the network routers that feeds the Mermentau, Jefferson Davis Parish (Lake Arthur & Hathaway), Iota, & Evangeline failed.
We are in the process of replacing it.

We hope to have service restored before noon. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

***Wireless Network Outage
Friday, August 21

We are experiencing a wireless network outage in the Evangeline, Mermentau Cove, and Iota areas. These areas connect to the Mermentau Water tower. The village of Mermentau is currently without power at this time due to the severe weather. The battery backup system was working but the power outage is lasting longer than the capacity of the batteries. Once power is restored, the internet services will be restored.

We also have a wireless network outage in the Branch Area. Certain wireless customers on Vicksburg Rd and Roberts Cove Rd connect to a small repeater tower that was affected by the severe weather. Most likely equipment will have to be replaced. Unfortunately, repairs won't be able to be made until Monday.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.
