Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, grandfathers, stepfathers, and father figures in our community. ❤️🚒

Today, we recognize the men who lead by example, provide unwavering support, and make countless sacrifices for their families.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to the fathers of the Croydon Fire Company. Whether they are responding to emergencies, serving behind the scenes, or supporting loved ones who volunteer, their dedication to both family and community does not go unnoticed.

We hope everyone has a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable Father’s Day surrounded by those who matter most.

Did you know Croydon Fire Company once had its very own firehouse Dalmatian?

This newspaper article features Ken Hopkins and Sparkey, a deaf Dalmatian who found a home with the members of Croydon Fire Company. Despite being unable to hear, Sparkey quickly became a beloved mascot and morale booster around the firehouse.

The article quotes then-Chief Gordon Roberts, who noted the positive impact Sparkey had on the membership, while Ken and other members helped care for her and make her part of the firehouse family.

What’s even more special is that the young firefighter pictured with Sparkey, Ken Hopkins, is still a member of our organization today. Tomorrow, Ken will have 55 years in the company. ❤️🚒

🎓🚒 Congratulations to Our 2026 Graduates! 🚒🎓

Today, the members of the Croydon Fire Company would like to congratulate three of our members on their graduation from Harry S. Truman High School:

🎓 Tom Tryon Jr.
🎓 Chase Dikun
🎓 Jonathan Fournier

Tommy has been a member of the company since March 2023. Following graduation, Tommy will be continuing his service to others by joining the United States Marine Corps. We are incredibly proud of his dedication and wish him the very best as he begins this next chapter.

Chase joined the company in July 2023. He will be continuing his education in the HVAC field. We wish him success as he pursues his career and look forward to seeing all he accomplishes in the years ahead.

Jon joined the company in January 2025. He will be entering the workforce following graduation. We are excited to watch him continue to grow both professionally and as a member of our fire company.

We are proud to have these young men as part of our organization and look forward to seeing what the future holds for each of them. Congratulations on this milestone achievement, and best wishes in all of your future endeavors!
