Lead Pipe Fitter / Stick Welder – Fuel Storage Facilities – $35–$60/hr + Paid Travel & Drive Time

We're a small, tight-knit shop growing fast, and we're looking for an experienced fitter who wants a long-term home, not just another job. We build and maintain piping at fuel storage facilities, bulk plants, and terminals across the Midwest.
PAY & TRAVEL
• $35–$60/hr based on qualifications – top of the range for proven fitters who can lead
• ALL road expenses paid – travel and lodging covered. Prefer per diem instead? We can do that.
• Paid drive time and company trucks in most situations
• Around 50 hours a week – lots of overtime
• We work to get you home on weekends
THE WORK
• Lead a crew on fuel storage and terminal piping: manifolds, tank connections, load racks, pumps, and valves
• Read isos, do takeoffs, and lay out and fit carbon steel pipe
• Stick weld (SMAW) – 6010 root and hot pass, 7018 cover
• Run safety with the terminal: JSAs, hot work and confined space permits
YOU HAVE
• Years of pipe fitting experience, with foreman or lead hand experience
• Ability to pass a 6G stick pipe test
• Real fit-up skills: rolling offsets, laterals, layout, and getting gap and hi-lo right the first time
• OSHA 10 (OSHA 30 a plus), or willing to get it
• Your own hand tools, a valid driver's license, and able to pass a drug screen
