BFPD, along with our mutual aid departments, responded to a report of a 1st alarm commercial structure fire in the area of the 500 block of Rock Road around 3am. EMS arrived on the scene, advising of fire showing out a second-story window. Engine 6714 arrived on the scene shortly afterwards and initiated an interior attack on the 2nd floor. Sullivan Fire arrived and assisted with interior operations. Cuba, Leasburg, Gerald, and St. Clair Fire assisted with establishing a water supply and laying out over 1,400 feet of 3” supply hose, as well as assisting with fire suppression. The fire was contained to the second floor, with no reported injuries. We would like to extend our gratitude to all of our personnel and mutual aid personnel.

Cuba Fire was dispatched for a Commercial Structure fire on West Washington street around 11pm on 6-20. Upon arrival crew found an outside fire that had extended into the structure. Crews made entry into the building and initiated fire attack. As additional resources arrived crews checked the rest of the building and searched for fire extension and performed overhaul operations.
A second alarm was called to bring additional manpower to the scene so crews could be rotated through rehab.
We would like to thank all the assisting agencies who responded to the call.

The Officers and Firefighters would like to congratulate FF Gene Fox and FFJarod Tavenner for successfully completing and passing all written tests and practical skills for State Firefighter I&II. The guys committed the last 6-7 months to attend this class.
We also want to thank Rolla City Fire for hosting this program and all the instructors who assisted throughout the class.
The dedication these two guys put into this class will continue in the way they serve the community.

Units have cleared the call on Hwy KK. There may still be residual smoke in the area.

Thanks to all of our mutual aid partners for assisting on this fire. The cause is undetermined and this time and was not from any burning being done.

Cuba fire and additional mutual aid depts are working a large brush fire, in the area of HWY KK and Fox Springs. Please use caution and avoid the area if possible.
