I took a beautiful walk today in Shenandoah National Park. The foliage was beautiful and a reminder of how we can’t stop change. Sometimes change is expected, but sometimes it comes without warning and can bring wonderful, or devastating effects. I would love the opportunity to make sure your family has financial safeguards in place, and that you are preparing for the future you envision.

Business Spotlight of the Month - Illustrator By Anayah

A unique story about a unique, impressive, and inspiring young lady - Miss Anayah Quinn

I recently had the opportunity to sit down and speak with Anayah and get to know her a little and about how she got started. Let me start by saying this young lady is just a ray of sunshine. She has such an amazing, outgoing personality and her positive attitude is contagious. It is so inspiring to see such a young person be so driven and focused. She has her own business and works at Shear Artistry as a hairstylist! Here is a little of what I learned about Anayah:

How did it start -

Anayah got started during Covid when she wanted a custom pair of bandana print shoes that she saw online. Her mom told her she should make them herself, and to her surprise, Anayah did! She shared them online and the requests started!

About her career-
Anayah loves that her job allows her to be artistic and make things from the comfort of her home. Being so creative allows her to help direct clients when they aren’t sure what they want. Her five year goal is to expand into a studio and have an online shop. In 10 years she would love to have her own brick and mortar shop, sell artwork in other stores and offer children’s birthday party services. (I love this idea! I already want to book her for my daughter!!)

About the amazing lady behind the career-
Anayah is so kind and loves meeting and talking to people. She is going to college for business and really wants to find ways to give back to her community. She loves traveling and would love to live in Greece someday!

Accomplishments - Won FCCLA entrepreneurship competition two years in a row and competed at the national level in Denver and California. They placed 10th in Denver!

What Inspired Anayah and Her Inspiration to Others- Anayah’s ideal mentor would be John C Maxwell. She listens to his speeches and reads his books about leadership and leading with your heart. Another positive influence on her career was moving to Culpeper where there were less distractions, and more importantly, a supportive community. Anayah’s advice to others starting out in her career is to “Just start.” Don’t spend time procrastinating because there are opportunities everywhere!

If you haven’t seen her amazing work, check out her custom shoes and apparel:
