Have I mentioned that I hate Bermuda grass. It literally took over the entire garden this year.

Meet Tom Tom! He is a 6 month old Narragansett turkey. We picked him up this morning. He has already been moved into our broody coop and will stay there for a good while as we let him acclimate. Everyone in the flock had to come by and check him out. Hopefully Nugget will get over her contrariness soon!

Well s**t the bed... Couldn't make it up the hill to the house, trailer drug me back down (with the brakes on which I couldn't steer the tailer. Now the trailer is pinned again the guy wire for the power pole and my wheels are stuck between a stump (where the step bar is)... So much for buying a dump trailer... Unloaded it by hand, unhooked the trailer, pulled the truck out with the tractor then pulled the almost empty trailer up the hill with the tractor. Guess I need a new truck? Also need drive way fixed.

Dang it another broody hen this one is in the green house which was completely zipped up.

Our harvest this morning, before the rain chased me indoors. Not bad. Had to graduate to my larger basket.

Roma tomatoes, banana peppers, jalapeño peppers, green bell peppers, cukes, squash and yellow zucchini, sweet basil and Thai basil, and lamb’s quarters. Now to clean them up and process. Basils and peppers will be frozen. The remaining goodies will be worked into upcoming meals.

Bought some comfrey root cuttings, glad to see a few coming up!
