Footage exclusively obtained by NBC News appears to show Sean “Diddy” Combs using a cellphone inside FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, despite personal cellphones being prohibited in federal prison. As part of its investigation, NBC also interviewed four men who say they spent time with Combs behind bars, with multiple sources claiming the music mogul spends thousands of dollars a month having money placed into other inmates’ commissary accounts in exchange for services including making his bed, doing his laundry, cleaning bathrooms and showers before he uses them, preparing special meals, holding his belongings and allegedly giving him massages. Sources also alleged Combs has had access to other contraband, including alcohol and a modified tablet. Combs’ representative pushed back against NBC’s characterization of his prison life, while the Federal Bureau of Prisons declined to address the specific allegations involving him. NBC has not publicly identified who recorded the cellphone footage or who provided it to the network.
