This story hits close to home, as I conducted the Georgia portion of an investigation into the death of Shawn Arthur in Metairie LA. Shawn had an es**rt come to his apartment, she drugged his drink with a homemade concoction, stole his wallet, credit cards, money, jewelry, and his truck - Shawn overdosed on that medley of drugs and died as he slept. Dominque Berry, the pr******te, and Randy Schenck, her pimp, were later arrested - but not for Shawn's death. The Jefferson Parrish completely botched this death investigation, even after I obtained a full confession during a jail interview here in Georgia. They caused his death, but Jefferson Parish authorities would not charge them with homicide. A young man's family grieves and fights for justice every day.

On the surface, the death of this young reporter looks eerily similar to the death of Shawn Arthur. New Orleans may be all fun to some, but to many it's nothing but a cesspool of drugs, prostitution, robbery, and homicide - these predators drool over the big parties and events that book their venue. It's the opportunity of the year to bankroll a tourist - and for some, they unknowingly leave New Orleans in a body bag.

This story is even more sad as this young man lost his wife in a car crash last April, leaving behind a 15 month old daughter. Now this little girl is an orphan. I hope Adan Manzano's family gets the justice the Arthur family did not.

5 for 5 since June! Another "NOT GUILTY"!! 3 Not Guilty verdicts, 1 Mistrial, and 1 Dismissal as the Judge said, "That dog don't hunt". Points to ponder: Just because someone is arrested does not mean they actually committed the crime. Just because someone accuses you of a crime, does not mean you did it. Stand your ground, remember the constitution, and hire the best defense you can. And as a sidenote: Most criminal defense cases we see involve one or all of the following: money, s*x, drugs, or alcohol. Please make wise decisions.

New developments in the case of Shawn Arthur. A Feedom of Information win for the family to pressure the government for transparency -- but a government (Jefferson Parish, LA) who appears to hand pick which homicides to prosecute and which ones need to 'go away' to protect the underground. I'm looking forward to the now unsealed recording of the homicide detective and suspect interview where the detective discredits my three interviews where Berry detailed their scheme and how they drugged Arthur with their homemade cocktail of drugs to rob him. He died and the cover up began. Shameful....

Eleven days before a Missouri father Bob Arthur was scheduled to head to trial to challenge an eyepopping $18,535 bill from the Jefferson Parish District Attorney's Office for public records

Finally, partial justice! Still need Jefferson Parrish DA to do the right thing and prosecute this murder.

The operation involved the man's girlfriend promising men s*x and then drugging them and robbing them while they were unconscious.
