Known by the Chumash tribe as the sacred herb, its leaves were used as medicine to treat respiratory infections and wounds. ⁣

At Fellom Ranch Vineyards @ 2200 ft elevation on bud break and shoot lengthening occur later in the typical vineyard year. Our Estate East block vineyard (pictured) ensconced above the developed Santa Clara Valley bears the promise of an exceptional 2020 vintage. Among other physical factors, the distinct terroir of this special Santa Cruz Mountain region richly influences the complexity and flavor of our wines. Stay tuned as we follow the development of our vineyard in situ.

Spring bud break . Our unique elevation of 2200 ft means our buds break slightly later than lower elevations. The diurnal temperature shifts over the next months will influence the character and complexity of our wine.
