We’ve changed things up a little bit this year!! Just a few things to note:
- We have opened up our training building as our cooling station to allow for a break from the heat if you’re not into the water activities.
- We ask that Willard Railroad Street Parking by the station be utilized for those with mobility challenges.
- We have been graciously donated a bathroom trailer from Carolina Moon Outhouses. This will be near the cooling area. For those with mobility issues, we will gladly open our station. We ask those without to please utilize our bathroom trailer.
- The stage has been relocated to allow for more visibility. While this reduces some of the grassy area, we encourage tents and will have plenty of shade to relax in and enjoy the patriotic atmosphere.
- With limited vendors and food trucks, our hope is that families can come enjoy the festivities without having to spend large amounts hard earned dollars just to enjoy. Our games and activities will be at no cost and Union Rescue Squad will be serving up BBQ Sandwiches and Hot Dogs (BBQ Sandwiches-$3 Hot Dogs-$2). We hope that this will allow families to visit these vendors and food trucks and support them with some of the cost reduction.
- We will be doing a 50/50 raffle and some other prizes at the event as well as selling Union Rescue Squad Independence Celebration shirts to commemorate this event and America’s 250th Independence.

We look forward to spending time with the community and celebrating our countries independence in just a few short days. We can’t thank our community and surrounding enough for the support over the years!
