Hutchinson Composite Mussel Ridge The approach we took in designing this vessel was to incorporate the best characteristics of most of the proven lobster boat hulls.

You will notice a very traditional stem and sheer, as well as the flair forward and tumblehome aft, to create an aesthetically pleasing hull above the waterline. Below the waterline, we used a hard chine, proven in the V-hull form to create lift and stability, but we added the full keel.

We got the 48 hull mold sprayed today. Will be extended to 54 later on

Sheer raise is complete we have the keel and bottom section in to widen the boat. She will be 49’11x20’ plus a 4’ overhang on the stern. Very excited to get the gelcoat sprayed. This is something me and my father talked about doing for years and it is coming to life now.
