Will this affect me? This is the map showing our current Custer Volunteer Fire Department response area. This will also be the boundaries for the proposed tax district. If you are outside these boundaries, you will not be affected. If you have questions or are unsure, please feel free to reach out to us! We also have a list of current property owners to look up.
Next public open house: Monday August 19th @ 630 pm.

Attached is the proposed fire district boundaries. A larger map along with a list of property owners will be available at tonight's meeting.
The boundaries are as follows:
North: to Custer County/Pennington County line, East: to the east side of Custer State Park, South: South of Mayo Road over to South of High Plains Road (off of Pass Creek), West: Mud Springs Road

FUN FACTS:
Custer Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1879.
In past years they had a waiting list of people wanting to join the department, even with a roster of 50! We currently have 27 volunteer members and 3 cadets.
EVERY VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT IN TODAY'S WORLD HAS 2 MAJOR ISSUES: FUNDING AND LACK OF PERSONNEL!
