I could ease into saying what happened and write a book first but the easiest way is to just say “my mama has cancer”. It’s stage 4 lung cancer which has spread to other places. Her only symptom was bad headaches and less than a month later, a scan showed cancer.
I got the call and flew home from Colorado to Louisiana. One tumor was removed with brain surgery so we stayed in the hospital for awhile before moving to a family home in Texas for MD Anderson Cancer Center. The day we arrived, ended with mama in the ER with double pneumonia and her not being able to breathe on her own.
So we spent another week in the hospital. She’s “home” now and feels better lately, besides recovering from brain surgery and pneumonia. I’ve completely changed her diet, she’s taking various natural remedies and will be starting cancer treatments this month. Needless to say, her odds of living are low but we’re trying 💕 If you have suggestions, no matter how “weird” they may be — please message me instead of commenting it.
I’ll be flying back and forth between Colorado and Texas. I expect to reopen the store during Winter and selling (externally manufactured) sticker sheets before Spring. A Little Spark isn’t going anywhere, it’s just gonna operate A Little Different 🤣
For now, I’ll mostly be in Texas and not in my magical Colorado bedroom. I’ll be posting 12-day advent calendars daily and posting more cozy stories here on , while the not so cozy things will still be on stories.
