The month of October 2026 begins with Saturn, Neptune, Chiron, Uranus, and Pluto in retrograde with Venus soon to join the retrograde parade. Mercury will also move to retrograde towards the end of October. Meanwhile, the Sun has moved into Libra, Mercury has moved into Scorpio, and Mars has moved into Leo. This brings us more Fixed sign energy into the picture where things tend to pivot rather than move steadily forward. We are thoroughly into the retrograde season where we turn to our inward life with psychological issues and relationships getting snarled in motivational scrutiny. We need to remember that our relationships are only as good as the quality of communication involved. While it may be easy to feel suspicious, if we can’t talk about the deeper stuff that comes into focus then we are likely to get bogged down in emotional reactionary feed-back loops.
On October 1, 2026 Mars in Leo triggers a huge T-square formation with Pluto Rx in Aquarius and Mercury-Venus in Scorpio. It’s too easy to get stuck in wounded pride and male ego issues or to power drive a point into conflict. Meanwhile, the spies are lurking in the shadows. So we need to exercise caution when dealing with tricky ego situations that get too hot to handle. Meanwhile, Mars opens flow with Neptune Rx, which could light up our inner worlds with great imagination and creativity if we don’t get too naive about capabilities. Obviously, if someone offers the moon and the stars then we need to check credentials. Uranus Rx still has good energy with Pluto Rx but we will have to be cautious with revealing private information, especially over the phone.
