The Acelero Learning Charitable Foundation had a bold vision—but no clear playbook to get there.

Like many organizations spinning off from a larger institution, they were navigating big, messy questions:
1️⃣How do we define our own identity without losing connection to our roots?
2️⃣How do we build credibility as a public charity while honoring our founding relationships?
3️⃣How do we make sure our funding has real, measurable impact?

They weren’t starting from scratch, but they were starting to drown in complexity.

CoSpero was honored to work alongside Acelero’s seriously brilliant team to:
🔹 Clarify the Foundation’s unique theory of change
🔹 Design a governance model that balances independence and alignment
🔹 Build a grantmaking and evaluation framework rooted in transparency
🔹 Map a sustainable operating model that can scale with integrity

Now the team knows where they’re headed and how to get there, and we’re excited to cheer them on. The ECE field needs what this Foundation is about to bring.

Leadership doesn’t usually just crumble in the big moments. It starts to crack in the slow daily grind.

When fear starts calling the shots.
When you’re carrying more than anyone realizes.
When you’re showing up strong on the outside but questioning yourself on the inside.

That’s why The Heart is the very first Leadership Lab we’re launching. Because before we can lead others with strength, we have to be willing to lead ourselves with honesty.

Here are five questions we’ll wrestle with together on September 25:
➡️ Am I leading from my deepest values, or just quietly stewing on them?
➡️ Where is fear calling the shots in how I show up?
➡️ What truly matters for impact right now, and what am I holding onto out of habit, ego, or exhaustion?
➡️ Where am I trying to prove my worth by doing it all, instead of trusting my team?
➡️ What decision have I been avoiding, even though I know clarity would bring relief and direction?

These aren’t easy questions. They require courage. But they’re the kind of questions that can shift how we lead, how we serve, and how we sustain ourselves in the work.
