This is the rarest M-1 helmet from WWII, and tomorrow it could be the centerpiece of your collection.
This helmet was made by Parish Pressed Steel Co. and Reading Hardware Corp. in anticipation of a need for additional helmets ahead of the planned invasion of Japan.
Whereas McCord Radiator & Manufacturing Co. produced approximately 20,000,000 helmets, and Schlueter Manufacturing Co. 2,000,000, Parish-Reading, at most, likely produced no more than 70,000 helmets.
This exceptionally rare piece is up for auction at Gustafson’s with just a $1.00 opening bid and no reserve.
Place your bids before time runs out tomorrow at 7:00 PM (CST).
