Yesterday, we hosted our 3rd Built Here Member Showcase of the year! 🥹 We love this new tradition that encourages connection, collaboration, and a whole lot of fun between members and our extended community.

Thank you to our featured members (Nostalgia & Noise, The Human Impact, and Dana) and to our spotlight vendors (Hubbard Manor Soap Co + smalls matcha) for sharing your work and the passion behind what you’re building. Everyone who checked out the space was in for a treat! 🍵💐🧼

We’re grateful to everyone who joined us—these events are nothing without YOU! 😊

Here’s to supporting local business and celebrating progress. May we continue to build great things together.

Recently, our space held something we will not forget: a micro wedding, an intimate vow exchange, right here in The Cedars.

For a little while, the desks and the daily hum gave way to something quieter and bigger. A couple chose to say the words that change everything in the same room where founders build, neighbors gather, and the work of a community happens every day.

To bring a vision to life and have the ability to extend the beauty of community beyond our walls made it even better.

That is the thing we keep learning about this space. The same community spirit that fuels a Tuesday morning can hold one of life’s most meaningful moments too. A room is just a room until people fill it with something that matters.

Cheers to many more micro weddings at Good Coworking.

Planning an intimate wedding or a small gathering of your own? Send us a message. We would love to help you picture what your day could look like here.

The window seating in open coworking do quiet, important work for everyone who sits near them.

Morning daylight, especially in the first hour of being awake, helps your body sort out what time it is. Which helps your sleep at night. Which helps almost everything else.

If you have not sat in this part of the building in a while, the seat by the window is open this morning.

A Saturday question we have been sitting with: what does rest actually look like for you?

Not the version on a wellness brand's mood board. The real one. The afternoon that leaves you a little less braced on Monday morning.

If you find a good answer, send it our way. We are collecting them.

Hello, May.

This month is Mental Health Awareness Month, and we are leading with the line most people skip first.
Take care of yourself.
A few small ways to do that this month:

Step outside for a 10-minute walk, no phone
Eat lunch away from your screen, even once
Say no to one thing that is not yours to carry
Sit quietly for a few minutes before the day gets loud
Check in with someone you have not talked to in a while

None of these are big. That is the point.

We are glad you are here.

This question asks more than reflection. It asks for action.

At Good Coworking, service is not just a value. It is something we practice daily through collaboration, care, and creating space for one another to thrive.

As we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. today, we reflect on how his call to serve others shows up in our work, our community, and the choices we make every day. May we continue to move forward with intention, courage, and collective responsibility.

Celebrating Juneteenth: A Day of Freedom and Community Resilience

Juneteenth, celebrated on June 19th, marks the day in 1865 when the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, learned of their freedom—over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. This federal holiday is a powerful symbol of the end of slavery and the enduring spirit of African American communities.

🔴🟡🟢⚫️ Why Juneteenth Matters 🔴🟡🟢⚫️

Historical Significance:

- Delayed Freedom: Despite the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863, freedom wasn't realized for many until June 19, 1865.
- First Celebrations: Initially marked by prayer meetings and spirituals, Juneteenth has evolved to include parades, cookouts, and cultural events.

Importance of Community:

- Unity and Togetherness: Juneteenth fosters a sense of unity, bringing families and communities together.
- Cultural Preservation: Celebrations highlight African American history, music, art, and traditions.
- Support Systems: Community support has been crucial in overcoming systemic challenges and driving social justice movements.

🔴🟡🟢⚫️ How to Celebrate and Support 🔴🟡🟢⚫️

- Attend Local Events: Participate in parades, festivals, and educational workshops.
- Support Black-Owned Businesses: Shop locally and invest in the community.
- Engage in Educational Activities: Learn and share the history and significance of Juneteenth.

Juneteenth is more than a celebration—it's a testament to resilience and the power of community. As we honor this day, let's continue the journey towards true freedom and equality together. ✊🏾🖤
