As a parent, this topic enrages me.
The exploitation of our elders and children is serious. So when I posted awareness about the Five Nights at Epstein’s game, the last thing I expected was for a complete stranger on Facebook — someone who identifies as a Disciple of Christ and a content creator — to react with a laughing emoji. 😐
Initially, I fought with myself to find the least aggressive way to respond to his comment, which I did. But then I was convicted to just block him altogether. With him being a content creator, I’m sure he was looking to bait someone.
😡
Although I don’t see it as a laughing matter, this was a situation where I had to surrender it to God and let Him handle that individual, his comment, and his viewpoints. 🙏🏽
His assumption was that Americans are so consumed with being angry at the game rather than being angry at those behind it. But creating awareness IS a way to display that frustration — in a positive and constructive manner. It brings attention to something we are not okay with.
His assumption was based solely on the post, without understanding the intent behind it. And honestly, it wasn’t my job to make him understand.
There will always be trolls who laugh at advocacy efforts. And that makes it incredibly hard for survivors to show up. Comments like that don’t deserve our energy.
So I want to encourage each and every one of you — encourage survivors to speak up. 🫱🏾🫲🏼🗣️
That is how we get closer to having these necessary conversations, ensuring that the programs out there can improve their processes so that we, as consumers, parents, and community members, stay in the know.
Don’t let the trolls win. Keep advocating. 💛

I wanted to share an article that was included in a post I came across on LinkedIn this morning that was initially shared by Parven Kaur. —— The jist: There is a game circulating on the internet called “Five Nights at the Epstein’s” which is inspired by the horror-themed children’s game ...
