There’s no other way to say it, and I’m seeing it more than I should in my line of work (resellers/importers).

Working out of my tiny apartment—I get wanting to have nice pictures in nice settings, but with enough creativity you can make it work.

We have an ethical responsibility to protect our artisans, their work, and their cultures.

And if you’re ever in a rut feel free to reach out! I’ve used houseplants, my own huipiles, produce, etc to frame shots for listings.

Bringing back the rest of the amazing Purépecha art I got to source in Michoacán last month including this incredible mask by Master Artisan Octavio Reyes. The entire process from sourcing clay to finished product is carried out in his home in the mountains of northern Michoacan.

Celebrating big in my hometown tomorrow Saturday 9/12 City of Dallas for El Grito - Mexican Independence Day 5-9p

Enjoy food, music, and a cultural procession in front of one of the coolest city hall buildings ever!

And Sunday I head back to Oaxaca to restock black pottery for Dia de los Mu***os and then central Mexico for painted ceramics and cartoneria. I’ll be focusing on pieces for altars this year—drop me a comment if there’s something I shouldn’t miss 🖤
