I found this beautiful antique Chatillon 17H Counter Balance Scale in Spencerport New York on a recent picking trip. John Chatillon and Sons was founded in 1835 in New York and were known for their manufactured scales and weighting instruments.

This item just sold on eBay this week for $200 plus shipping. I am glad it has found its new home in Illinois.
