UK Trademark Registration FAQs!
Q1. What are the requirements for registering trademark in uk?
Ans: 1. Company or Individual (non-resident acceptable in both cases)
2. Trademark text or logo or both
3. UK Address where you can receive your certificate.
4. Mobile Number (Non-UK acceptable)
5. Email address where you can receive notifications about your trademark process.
Q2. What is the total cost of trademark registration in UK?
Ans: Government fees is £170 per one class plus £50 per extra class for online application.
(We charge £300 per one class plus £50 per extra class. It includes comprehensive trademark research and all the responsibility from applying till approval)
Q3. How much time does it take to register uk trademark?
Ans: When you apply for registration, it takes upto 5 business days whether your trademark is initially approved for processing or not. If it’s get approved for processing then it take about 15 days to publish it in trademark journal for objections. Publishing period is 60 days. If you got objections within that period your trademark processing will be delayed further. If you didn’t get any objections in those 60 days then your trademark will be pushed towards final approval. Final approval could take 15 days. So approximate total time is 5+15+60+15=95 days. (Total time is in case no objections are raised during publishing period)
Note:- Due to corona situation, trademark can take more time than mentioned above.
Q4. Can I apply for brand registry on Amazon UAE or any other country through UK trademark?
Ans: Well honestly UK trademark can protect your brand at Amazon level but it couldn’t give you protection in that country as a whole unless your register your trademark in that country too.
