I relocated to Dallas two years ago and your one was OK but your tool was really hard, but I’m grateful to still be here and grateful to all who have been a part of my journey so far. Help me pray year 3 is better.

My goal was never to be skinny… my goal was to be STRONG. 💪🏾🔥

So when I saw the trend of doing a 20-pound seated shoulder press, I had to ask myself, “Okay Cherise… can you do it?” 😂

And guess what? I DID! 🙌🏾

Three years ago, this may have looked very different for me. But strength doesn’t happen overnight. It takes consistency, discipline, being willing to be challenged, and sometimes having someone push you beyond what you think you can do.

I’m so grateful for every trainer who has worked with me over the past three years. Thank you for challenging me, encouraging me, and helping me become stronger—not just physically, but mentally too.

This journey has reminded me that sometimes the goal isn’t to become smaller.

Sometimes the goal is to become STRONGER.

And honestly? I’m still getting stronger. 💪🏾✨

When your trainer says, “Let’s add more weight,” but LIFE has already been heavy enough… 😂😂

So instead of picking up another weight, I’m just gonna DANCE IT OUT! 💃🏾🤣

But seriously… sometimes you don’t need someone to fix everything. You just need somebody willing to go with you while you navigate the hard stuff.

That’s one of the things I do as a coach. I don’t just tell you what to do and send you on your way. I walk alongside you, help you get clear, help you move forward, and remind you who you are when life gets a little… LIFEY. 😅

You don’t have to figure it all out by yourself.

I don’t feel like it. 😩

There, I said it.

Sometimes I don’t feel like showing up. I don’t feel like doing the thing. I don’t feel like taking the next step.

But I’m learning that obedience isn’t always about how I feel.

Sometimes the Lord is asking me to do something that makes no sense to me, stretches me, or simply isn’t what I WANT to do.

And I have to remind myself:

It’s not always about me.

My obedience could be connected to someone else’s breakthrough.
My yes could open a door for someone else.
My willingness could encourage someone who is watching.
My decision to keep going could be the very thing someone else needed to see.

So even when I don’t feel like it…

I’m going to do what the Lord tells me to do.

Not because it’s easy.
Not because I always understand.
Not because I always feel ready.

But because I trust Him.

My feelings may change. My assignment doesn’t.

Today, I’m choosing obedience over feelings.
