We (Co-Founders, Lauren and Michael) met in Shanghai, China in 2011 while working abroad. What began as a critical dialogue on Landscape Architecture and Urban Design, developed into a collaboration after travels together in Asia, Canada, and the US. DELINEATOR was founded in 2012 as an outlet for our collaboration through competition projects and has evolved into a full-time design office that ta

Celebrating 2024 Achievements:

Cottonwood Creek Sustainable Vision Plan received a Merit Award in Analysis and Planning by both Texas and Virginia Chapters of the American Society of Landscape Architects in 2024.

The planning site was formerly unattractive to developers due to a flood plain and protected wetlands crossing through the site. The team, however, saw this as a potential valuable asset that could be utilized as a connected restored native landscape infrastructure for drainage and “front door” open space to development.

The two sites lie in different Municipalities, but can be connected by a proposed Open Space trail in the Cottonwood Creek floodplain that the team identified closely with the City of Waco’s support. The team had a market study conducted to assist in generation of the vision’s future land use.

The vision plans water goals are to use 100% greywater reuse for non-potable needs, 100% blackwater treatment and reuse for agriculture and landscape. To minimize potable water use through technology and to export treated water through EcoHub for irrigation and non-potable uses.

Visit to one of our adaptive re-use projects in the Manufacturing District yesterday and we love to see when vines are making their way up and over 🌿🍃

Macho Manfreda Mangaves in the corner .

Oculus cut out designed by Mitchell Garman.

The outdoor working spaces at the courtyard of 123 Manufacturing link creative office spaces to a shared multi-functional space. The industrial renovation in the design district removed part of the warehouse space to open up a centralized courtyard. The colorful concrete tile flooring defines the outdoor work space and its warmth complements the concrete and brick materiality.
