Took the kids to pick cherries at the neighbors, Salt Creek Fruit. They are the sweetest family with the tastiest cherries.

Made some cherry jam that the husband said is more of a “lemon cherry” and not cherry with a hint of lemon. We will be sharing this at the farmstand at a lower price point, but you have to give me your feedback! Settle the debate in the Sines house.

Anywhoooooo… what else should we do with the other 45 pounds of cherries?! What do you want to see out there?

Been quiet on the socials lately, and it’s been a lovely break.

Kids are home. Hearts are full. Outside is our favorite place to be.

Dear friends chipped some trees and we took full advantage of the chips! Got them down around the pumpkins, potatoes, and blueberries. Getting them down on the raised beds and might even make it to the corn.

A little glimpse into the daily chores. We hand w**ded this whole bed because we didn’t get our w**d control down soon enough.

You can see the corn blowing in the wind and one of the cover crops behind that filling in.

Also, all started from seed! 😱

I’m pretty sure my blood type is strawberry after today.

It’s the beginning of canning season around here. Are you putting things up? What’s your favorite to do?

Tomorrow we’re working on some pickled asparagus, strawberry syrup, and more fruit leather.

If anyone had a freeze dryer lying around they are just itching to get rid of, my daughter is already asking for freeze dried fruit 🤪

Meet Timmy.

We found this sweet little bumble bee yesterday and the kids were in love!

We made sure she had a place to sleep for the night and we found her on that same snap dragon an hour later.
