Robert Shea's professional career has spanned 45 years. He has served as a Catholic high school member of faculty, assistant principal, principal and president. As president, he organized a multi-million dollar capital campaign to meet the costs associated with the design and construction of an academic wing and the establishment of an endowment for professional development and student financial assistance. His fundraising efforts included successful solicitation from foundations, corporations, and individuals. Building upon his teaching and administrative experiences, Bob founded Shea Consulting Services, LLC in 1991. The firm's associate consultants offer an array of consultative guidance opportunities including board, administration and faculty retreats, strategic planning protocols as well as a variety of workshops, program audits and seminars. Current and past clients can be found throughout the United States as well as in Europe, Australia and Asia. Bob holds degrees from La Salle University, the University of Notre Dame and was awarded a certificate from the Institute of Applied Psycho-theology. He has also done post-graduate work at Villanova University and the London School of Economics. Bob’s articles and audio recordings on various topics of change and culture, planning and education have been published by the United States Catholic Conference, National Catholic Reporter, Richard J. Burke & Associates, The Consultum, St. Mary's Press, Voice America Internet Radio, and Business Week magazine. Bob's service includes participation as a board member at the Secondary and Collegiate levels of education. He was a founding director and chair of the Angela Foundation of St. Louis, MO., and a former member of the Texas Catholic Conference Accreditation Commission. In 2003, Bob co-founded the Bishop John R. Gorman Institute for Catholic School Leadership at St. Xavier University in Chicago and in 2008 opened a new Leadership Institute at Loyola University of New Orleans, LA. In 2012, he completed a 7 year term as a founding director and chairman of the Board of the Hope for Peace and Justice Center of Dallas, Texas. Bob is a frequent presenter at national and regional convocations of various educational and fund raising associations throughout the United States. To those who were not able to contribute but sent so many prayers and well wishes, know that I value you, too. I especially enjoyed hearing from those across the years and the country. Shea Consulting Services, LLC is pleased to announce the appointment of John Bradley as a Senior Associate Consultant effective immediately joining our qualified team of Associate and Senior Consultants.
John works with organizational leaders, including boards of directors and senior executives, to improve governance practices, enhance organizational accountability, and create healthy organizational culture. He also guides organizations through strategic planning processes, with a particular emphasis on ensuring stakeholder voice and fidelity to the organization’s mission and core values.
Due to the varied positions that John has held within charitable, educational, and religious organizations, he understands the importance of incorporating diverse perspectives when developing mission, structural, and strategic clarity. He has served as legal counsel to Habitat for Humanity International and currently teaches Law of Nonprofit Organizations at the University of Pennsylvania Law School. John has overseen fundraising as the Director of Advancement for a faith-based charity, as well as initiated and directed campus ministry programs on the high school and college levels. His volunteer experience spans the spectrum from direct service to governance: a cross-country bicycle trip to benefit affordable housing work, a year of service in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, and board of directors service for local and national nonprofit organizations.
John holds a J.D., magna cm laude from the University of Notre Dame Law School and a B.S. in Management cm laude from Saint Joseph’s University. He has given presentations about ethical, legal, and governance issues to nonprofit organizations, parishes, and nonprofit service providers. His most recent article, Empowering Employees to Prevent Fraud in Nonprofit Organizations, was published in the Cardozo Public Law, Policy, and Ethics Journal.

Can you believe it's August? Life is good at this end. Several graduations are now history and we are now preparing for a wedding! Dallas is HOT as usual, but we can expect nothing less this time of year. Client base continues to expand - thanks be to God. Am really enjoying all of my Dallas clients. Thank you, Matt Vereeke, our new Superintendent. New client in Chicago is pending. Available for administration and faculty retreats, Board formation and re-formation.
