On my way to meet Kevin Kirkwood and Nikki Kirkwood with Invictus Roofing and Solar this morning when ATT went out.

I was more lost than Helen Keller in a corn maze.

Fortunately, they sent out some smoke signals and we were able to connect.

I’ve got to say, it was SO refreshing to see the backend of a roofing business that operates with integrity at the forefront of their business.

Seriously, what roofing business do you know that makes a large part of their meeting about community involvement over selling roofs?

Not many.

They are next level and I’m grateful for the entire team.

Why successful business people are respected and hated.

Eliminating things that aren’t moving the needle is something successful people are experts at.

As success grows, so does the demand to be more intentional with where you put your time and energy.

Many activities become distractions and get left behind.

Many relationships fade away because people have different visions and operate at different speeds.

People focused on their mission don’t spend the time or energy to slow down for any reason, including explaining themselves to others.

I’m not saying it’s right. But it’s reality.

Because of this, a lot of people will be bitter towards them.

Yet, for the same exact reason, people will respect them because living this way requires MASSIVE sacrifice and dedication.

They say it’s lonely at the top for a reason. This is why.

Here’s why thinking like an idiot will make you a millionaire.

If you can stupid proof a process anybody will be able to follow it.

In order to stupid proof something you need to think like an idiot.

💭 Would an idiot know what this means?
💭 Would an idiot know how to do it?
💭 Would an idiot know what should be assumed?

You need to go full potato 🥔 to create the bullet proof system.

Then, turn the brain back on and dive deep into the details of process building required to build the most seemless system possible.

There will always be that one percent who sticks the Weiner in the meat grinder despite the sign saying CAUTION ⚠️.

That’s when you know, it’s time to replace them.

Last week was election week in Pakistan.

7 of my employees couldn’t work because the government disrupts the internet to alter election results and control virtual protests.

I know America has its issues with election tampering, but imagine the governmentnt intentionally cutting our internet or power.

I see a lot of unpatriotic and hateful posts fly around the internet regardingrding life in America.

It’s easy to focus on how “bad” things are when life is tough and you feel the system is working against you.

But “bad” is a relative term.

Is your situation as bad as the government shutting off your heating and air or communication for 3 days?

Do your best to focus your attention on what is good as much as possible.

Your vision determines the direction you’ll travel.

So, focus on the opportunities in front of you. The rest is a distraction holding you back from living life by design.

Adults acting out or engaging in drama has always been a funny thing to me.

When I was young I always thought I had an old mans brain in a young mans body.

I hung with older crowds because I wasn't attracted to juvenile things.

Now that I'm older, I see that many people never actually mature in the way you'd expect them to when you were a kid.

They just get better as hiding the character flaws, immaturity, or emotional parts of their lives.

Thankfully, there are a good few who fight hard to maintain composure and poise despite the challenges they are facing.

I'm grateful the people in my circle are the latter.

To any of you younger folks reading this some things never change. 😆

There is such a thing Is not having time left in a day and I’ve lived there for quite some time.

I’ve got 40 employees looking for answers.

Clients spending 6-figures with my teams.

And multiple businesses all growing quickly.

Fielding one-off bits of information daily from clients in my emails, DMs, texts, slack… was literally going to be the death of me.

Today I resolved that issue once and for all.

If you’re a client of mine needing to share information with me in small pieces rather than sharing a comprehensive folder with organized information in it, I’ll be sending you a “General Info Form”.

The form autopopulates in my project management dashboard. The team associated with your account gets notified, it auto-stores in your G-drive folder, and the information is passed to the appropriate people.

I’m doing this for two reasons:

1) I care about all of you and don’t want to be the bottleneck or ball dropper on your projects.

2) I can no longer serve you if I die from information overload… if that’s a thing.
