Post Pandemic Job Search!
In the last fourteen months, the world has changed into something I never thought possible. Growing up, and even as an adult, I would see movies about pandemics and was thankful we would never experience considering the medical advances; I was confident it would be impossible, wrong! The time has taught me to be more grateful about the small, essential things that matter, family, friends, and home. I love the people I call my friends and family who made it a priority to take care of themselves and their families, wear masks, wash their hands, and stay home, even when they would have rather been doing anything else. We endured watching Netflix, reading, and watching the 24-hour news shows. It is not over; please be patient and remain vigilant; we have more hurdles to overcome, simply not there.
The reason I am starting this "post" on my organization's page is to offer tips and advice and begin a dialogue for people who are about to start the fun and exciting task of a post-pandemic job search and not sure how to go about it, or where to start. I have been in Human Resources, with a majority focus on recruiting, for more than twenty-four years. I welcome other industry professionals with recruiting experience to provide insight, opinions, advice, and expertise to anyone on my page; this is open to anyone seeking guidance. This page is not for political discussions, opinions, or recommendations without the credentials to do so.

My first post will be up on April 29th by 6:00 PM (18:00 for you military time people). I will address salary negotiation and overall compensation. Learn how the salary you accept impacts the economy overall and provides a benchmark for future employees.
Know the market before you being your search. Ask for a fair market salary, and do not undervalue yourself. Love what you do, and get paid what you are worth. The last year we have had so much taken from us, through no fault of our own. At this point, all is back in your control; before you go, know your worth and when to walk away.
