Are you working from home in this pandemic?

During this COVID-19 pandemic, work from home has become the new normal. There are a growing number of home based working professionals and entrepreneurs who now find working from home more productive. Most work-from-home professionals choose to set up their workspace in a corner of their bedrooms, on the dining table, in a passage between rooms or maybe even in the balcony/terrace.

However, to maintain a balanced environment and ensure productivity, it is imperative to follow some important vaasthu guidelines to attract good vibes and positivity in your home office. Here are some Swamy's Vaasthu tips for your home office

1. A home office should be set up in the Southwest quadrant of the home as it is conducive to business, a stable career and to make right decisions.

2. The workstation can be in South West or North East quadrant of the home office. North East rooms are good for people in creative field - designers, writers etc., Entrepreneur should use South, West or South west rooms. Always avoid North West and South East. Working out of North West rooms will not allow you to concentrate leading to less productivity and South East rooms will invite heated arguments and stress.

3. Use a stable chair to sit (avoid bed/couch/lounge chairs), facing North or East. A solid wall is preferred in the back. This will reduce stress and increase concentration. Do not sit in front of any obstruction like a door, window or balcony.

4. Avoid glass top table and cluttering. Discard unwanted papers/files/stationary.

What if I don't follow Vaasthu??

People who don't follow Vaasthu has one basic question in their mind. "My home is not in compliance with Vaasthu principles, but still I'm doing good in every perspective. So, why should I follow Vaasthu?" The answer is, get ready to battle the war. The impacts are not too far away! Also, you didn't know what goodness/happiness you should be experiencing now, if you would have made it Vaasthu compliant!! Astrology is a science like Vaasthu and its believed that horoscope dictates our future. Even if you don't believe in astrology, we all would have experienced a simple thing in our life. Sometimes even if we do things right and spend every possible efforts, we fail miserably. But there are days when things just fall in place without any big efforts. Astrology calls that as 'good/bad star placements'. When the stars are in right places even if we live in a home with Vaasthu defects we might be protected from the ill effects of nature to some extent. But not for long! When the stars change their positions the impacts will be multitude, which we can't take it! On the other way around, even if the stars are in bad positions, if we've made our place Vaasthu compliant it will help us survive through the storm. Everyone born in this world has to go through the Karma they've performed. We cannot change our horoscope, but we have Vaasthu our Nature's gift to survive through the storm. Now.. its upto you!

Can all the Vaasthu defects be remediated? YES or NO??

Many of my clients ask me if the vaasthu defects in their property can be remediated and if so what kind of remedies are they? Do they have to change anything in their home or can we remediate it without any changes? Unfortunately the truth is always bitter. YES, all the defects can be remediated but the remedies will vary depending on the nature of the defect. The truth is it won't be always without making changes! In today's commercial world there are so many advertisements that claims "Vaasthu remedies without ANY changes. Install OUR Vaasthu tools and all of your Vaasthu defects will be nullified". They recommend many type of solutions including but not limited to Crystals, Pyramids, Copper/Silver plates/wires and many more. Its human nature to incline towards such false promises and spend hundreds and thousands of dollars purchasing the so called "Customized Vaasthu tools" hoping to get their place remediated for Vaasthu compliance. Please don't carried away by these statements and lose your time and money. These remedies might reduce the intensity of the Vaasthu defects to some extent but will not remove it 100%. These shortcut solutions can be an interim solution but can never be a permanent solution. The basic Vaasthu principles has to be followed in any home/office/construction. If not, changes has to be made to rectify it. We strive to provide Vaasthu remedies that are more practical and unique and only who experience it can vouch for it. And when you experience it you will be more than willing to get yours aligned to Vaasthu principles.

Orientation of Plot/land

As per Vaasthu, orientation of a plot, site or building (residence or business) influences the dwellers in terms of living, education, physical and mental health, family relationships, finances and general welfare. While creating a home/office layout, proper orientation of buildings and pathways to the cardinal directions helps in cross-ventilation and creates order and balance that are must for contentment and happiness.

Even if you have spent days/months together to finalize a truly vaasthu compliant floor plan, but if the orientation of the plot/building is over +/- 10 degrees to magnetic North, it will diminish the effects (good/bad) of Vaasthu. These days many home sitemaps are way too misaligned that the individual plots becomes a diagonal plot (45 degrees tilted). What does this imply? The magnetic meridian instead of passing through the center of the plot makes an angle with the main axis of the plot. Although, there are certain suggestions that can be recommended to harmonize these kind of plots with the surrounding nature, the truth is that the good and bad will be reduced from 100 % to 50%. When the magnetic meridian is passing through the middle of the plot proper results cannot be obtained. Therefore, a diagonal plots/buildings can be profitable to people if you think the losses are less but if you are a person who wants to indulge in the benefits of Vaasthu, the recommendation is to choose a plot that is aligned to magnetic North!

Vital checklist for Vaasthu compliance

May be you are one of those who are interested in following Vaasthu principles, but don’t have time or the appetite to spend any additional time/money to consult a Vaasthu specialist. May be it is not the time or cost, but you are just a DIY person and want to decide for yourself on a Vaasthu complaint home. Great! This posting is for you.

In an effort to help friends, family and all the wonderful people I can reach through this social media, I would like to list down some of the crucial items to check for, when looking at Vaasthu compliance.

• It is auspicious to have well/sump/water creek/river etc., in North East side of the building. Clean/open North East corners will bring good vibrations to your home. Make sure these are not at your South West corner!
• South West corner should be the heaviest/tallest corner of the building/plot. Also, in the surroundings if there are heavy, tall structures/tall trees etc., they will yield good results. Make sure these are not at your North East corner!
• Toilets or Kitchen should not be there in North East/South West corners.
• Staircases that falls in line to the main entrance will have adverse (read: fatal) impacts.
• Entry/Exit of the building should be either at pinnacle points (best) or at center of each side.
• The best location of the Master Bedroom is the South West corner of a home. South East/North East is not advised for Master bedroom.
• Many think that all street thrusts are bad, but that is not true. Street thrusts in pinnacle points are actually very good!!
• When there is empty space around your home, east and north should be more than west and south respectively. No buildings/structures are to be constructed on North/East compound wall.

HINT: If you don’t have a compass handy, your GPS is an option to find the directions of your living space or try the free apps in app store like Smart Compass.

This is not everything! But, bet these would be the top few crucial items! Let’s live in harmony with Nature and lead a happy and healthy life!

To consult or not to consult???

As we continued, they eagerly probed to know more on the client situations, our predictions, the remedial measures we gave them and how did it work for them etc., Finally, they also wanted to consult. Why wouldn’t you be interested to set things easier up for yourself right? Believe me! If you are reading this post, you will definitely be interested to assess your place too… The only questions that lingers in everyone’s mind is…. WHAT IF THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG AND I'M NOT READY TO MAKE ANY CHANGES? WHAT IF I'M ASKED TO CHANGE MY NEW HOME? The only answer is… TIME once lost can NEVER be gained and so is life!! There is no harm to check on your living place to make sure things are not adversely bad for you and your family! We believe that, monetary loss is still okay compared to the life impacts… Sometimes, we get the leads only through such messages that we accidentally land upon! And there are remedies that will help you battle the bad impacts and move to a serene place.

Many a times, I’ve seen people who are successful in their career move to a better home… of course, their DREAM HOME! They invest all of their hard earned money in their dream home for their family to live and build the heritage for generations to come… It’s after all a lifetime goal of everyone in this world…. Isn’t it? But ask yourselves… How many of you/your friends/family are happy in the new home? The reality is NOT MANY! We have seen our clients who get themselves into trouble after moving to a new home and unfortunately while they build/move to their new home, they don’t give a second thought on the Vaasthu implications rather give importance to looks and features! Of course, home is a place which should be built to meet the utilities of the household but why should we go against the NATURE? After all we all want to lead a HAPPY and HEALTHY life!

You could be in financial troubles, relationship issues, health issues, marriage/kids issues, kids education/marriage, business/official issues and luckily nothing at all!. Of course you will be taking every effort to get these back on track, but here is the NATURE defined science that will ease your way out. You’ll get proper leads once you have this straightened out. You will not lose your hope and will never give up from winning your hurdles. Things will fall in place. Consult and lead a peaceful, healthy and a prosperous life! My passion!

When I interact with my friends, family, neighbors, colleagues or even new acquaintances we easily fall upon this common topic of what’s my current profession? I say I’m pursuing my passion – I’m practicing Vaasthu (Vastu/Vaastu)! They immediately get so much excited to know more about it in terms of how it all started…. When/where and from whom did I pick this up... etc., As we speak, I often end up telling them the glimpses of how I watched my father’s Vaasthu practice and astonished by the way he shares his predictions. I’ve literally seen people breaking down to tears the moment my father predicts their family issues without even knowing about them prior to the visit!

Wouldn’t that kindle the urge to know more about this science? I started gaining interest in this subject. My father patiently taught me the subject not ignoring my silly questions! It was a cake walk for me and I got a grip of the subject on what it is and what it is not. Although I learned it I didn’t understand the impact of what this Science could bring on our personal lives at that young age. As a 12th grader, I used to make some sketches of Vaasthu compliant homes and settle down happily taking the appreciations from my father. I had a pleasant feeling of I’ve achieved something great. I used to refine my line sketches and call it as my dream homes!

Exam time! The real thrill started when my father started taking to me to his client’s place to assess their buildings and state just one sentence on how the family currently could be. Although I was nervous in the beginning I got there. I made it a point to accompany him during his client visit. When I saw his clients call him back to thank him for what he has done to their lives, it really inspired me. It’s just not about the predictions, but also about fixing the issues.... just like a doctor! That’s the very moment, Vaasthu became my passion! I decided, one day I need to take this as my profession to bring the happiness in people’s life and here I’m!

Then I ask them 'Do you want to consult'? I’ll be right back to share on what went on in their mind...???!!!!
