Blessed month of Ramadan has now come to an end
In the wink of an eye it has passed away
Giving to us in return is the Eid Day
Which is the festive of joys and blessings as the religion Islam says
But what I see are sorrows all around
Bleeding streets and chaos on the ground
I hoped for an Eid day where things will change and happiness surround
But I only hear growing terror and cries that sound
Eyes looking for hope and hearts pleading for mercy
There is none other than Allah who listens to the implore
Bow down in Sujud and ask for pardon
But prayers seem to fail as if our Allah is angry
I hoped to wish everyone; my Ummah a very joyous Eid
I still do so but in a very somber note
What I ask indeed is for mercy and forgiveness from our Lord
Make this Eid day a positive change for all
Protect us from Shaitaan and lead us to Thee
Bless my Ummah and protect it from barbarous humanity
Purify my Ummah from all the inhumane sanity
Have Mercy Oh Allah! Have Mercy Please!
Spread serenity on this land
Make this an optimistic Eid! -AMEEN
