For a PITCH to be powerful you have to build it to effectively BUILDS A RELATIONSHIP.
This means we need to shift our focus from telling them about OURSELVES to seeking to understand what they need and serving THEM.
The nuance between these goals will change EVERYTHING. This should impact HOW you do the exact same Pitch script, presentation and questions.
For example here is a GENERIC question focused on YOU:
“What did you think of my presentation?”
Instead, we can make this SPECIFIC to serving THEM by asking:
• What are the gaps in your business that you’re prioritizing fixing this year?
• What would it take to earn your business today?
Do you notice the shift of focus between these questions?
Good questions do two things at once:
1) They signal that you care about their needs simply by being curious.
2) They create a sense of safety for them to tell you the truth because you show you expect limitations or hesitations.
People respond with openness and curiosity when they receive openness and curiosity.
That’s how meetings turn into momentum.
That’s how you stop chasing the wrong buyers.
That’s how follow-ups stop feeling like guesswork.
Is your PITCH as effective as it could be? Do you think it builds relationships at the depth you want?
If this resonates, I’d love to help you work on your PITCH and identify how to improve it.
I’m breaking this down step-by-step in a free live session, “Pitch Audit: The Formula to Close More Clients Without Getting Ghosted,” led by , founder of .
