Denton County opening up for affluent professionals who need home care!

Our President will be in Denton County this week to talk about our strong economy, creating American jobs, and bringing manufacturing back home.

And there is some good news to talk about:

🇺🇸 U.S. economic growth just beat expectations, with today’s final report showing the economy grew at a 2.2% annual rate in the second quarter.

🇺🇸 +162,000 jobs added nationally in August.

🇺🇸 4.1% unemployment nationwide.

🇺🇸 +58,000 manufacturing jobs since December, including another 16,000 added in August.

🇺🇸 Right here in Denton County, MP Materials is investing more than $1.25 BILLION in American rare-earth magnet manufacturing and expects to create more than 1,500 manufacturing and engineering jobs.

🇺🇸 $3.6 BILLION Toyota investment in San Antonio, creating 2,000 new jobs and moving Tacoma production from Mexico to TEXAS.

🇺🇸 Micron has increased its planned U.S. investment to more than $250 BILLION, with its U.S. projects expected to create more than 90,000 jobs.

🇺🇸 And just this week, a new $15 BILLION American steel plant was announced, expected to create at least 1,750 permanent jobs and up to 6,000 construction jobs.

That means policies that encourage companies to invest here, manufacture here, hire American workers, strengthen our domestic supply chains, and bring production back to the United States.

There couldn’t be a better place to deliver that message than a Peterbilt manufacturing plant right here in Denton.

When a home sits unoccupied, water can remain stagnant in the plumbing, showerheads, faucets, and water heater. Stagnant, warm water can create conditions where Legionella bacteria may grow. When you turn on a shower, contaminated water can become a fine mist that you breathe in.

That’s one way people can be exposed to Legionella, the bacteria that causes Legionnaires’ disease, a serious form of pneumonia. (CDC⁠)

Before you jump into that first shower after being away:

✔️ Flush the water system, including showers and faucets that haven’t been used regularly.

✔️ Let water run until it reaches normal operating temperature and runs clear.

✔️ Consider having your water heater professionally inspected and flushed according to the manufacturer’s recommendations. The CDC notes that regular water-heater flushing can help prevent germ growth and is recommended by most manufacturers. (CDC Stacks⁠)

✔️ Don’t overlook sediment, scale and buildup in your water system. These can contribute to conditions that support bacterial growth. (CDC⁠)

The disease is called Legionnaires' disease.
It is a severe, potentially deadly form of pneumonia caused by Legionella bacteria. These bacteria thrive in warm, stagnant water environments—such as hot water tanks, plumbing systems, hot tubs, and showerheads—and can be contracted if a person inhales microscopic water droplets or mist (like aerosolized spray from a shower) containing the bacteria.

While anyone exposed can potentially fall ill, it is most dangerous for older adults, smokers, and individuals with weakened immune systems or chronic lung conditions. Keeping residential water heaters set to a high enough temperature (typically recommended at 140°F / 60°C or higher at the tank, while utilizing mixing valves to prevent scalding) and regularly cleaning showerheads can help mitigate the risk of bacterial growth.
