The Cottage at Cedar Creek Lake

💡 A thoughtful home is more than a collection of beautiful finishes—it’s the result of intentional planning from concept through construction.

Designing the home you want to come home to.

The vision is only as strong as the work behind it.

The sketches, the details, the decisions, and the hours spent making sure the design works best before it ever becomes a finished home.

That's the work behind the vision.

Some of my best ideas start as a doodle.

A few lines, a little imagination, and suddenly the vision starts taking shape.

This is where schematic planning begins—before the polished drawings, before the details,
before the finished home.

Mid-day doodling never feels like work.

Rest. Reset. Go again.

A project doesn’t stop at the drawing board.

Site visits are where the plans meet the real world—checking progress, reviewing details, and making sure the vision is translating the way it was intended.

Locked in. The vision doesn't build itself.

The best time to catch a problem is BEFORE it becomes expensive.

Walking a project in the field gives me the opportunity to see what the drawings can’t always tell you.

Plans. Details. Materials. Ex*****on.

That’s where experience matters.

Whether you’re a DFW homeowner, contractor, or developer, having another set of experienced eyes on your project can help you make better decisions before small issues become costly ones.

Sometimes the next chapter starts long before anyone else can see it.

More intentional.
More focused.
Built around what I do best.

Architectural planning.
Construction drawing production.
Interior finish design.

For homeowners and developers who want to make smart decisions before the building begins.

Reflecting on the past 20 years in architecture and construction; 15 years corporate and 5 years solo entrepreneur, my career is home...a home that I haven't stopped elevating or reimagining 👷🏿‍♀️🔨
💡Things you may not know about me 💡

Michelle Lyles is a Design-Build leader, entrepreneur, and construction professional with more than 20 years of experience delivering projects across residential, commercial, retail, and entertainment sectors.

My career has spanned architecture, engineering coordination, construction management, owner representation, and design-build delivery—leading projects from concept and planning through construction and completion. I’ve had the opportunity to work with nationally recognized organizations including GHA Architects, GPD Group, Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas, and EMJ Construction while soft launching and growing my own company, Lyles Home Design.

Today, I help homeowners, developers, and project teams navigate the complexities of design and construction while transforming ideas into successful built environments. My passion lies in bridging the gap between design vision and construction ex*****on, mentoring future industry leaders, and creating pathways for women and underrepresented professionals in the AEC industry.

Architecture. Construction. Leadership. Entrepreneurship. Building spaces—and opportunities—that leave a lasting impact.
