Studio Six Art Conservation is retiring. Stephanie and I opened Studio Six in February 2009 with the aim of providing art conservation services to Texas historic museums, private collectors and institutions. It has been a rewarding path with so many great people and wonderful projects. Thank you to everyone we have had the pleasure of working with.

And there is still so much work still to do here in Texas. I encourage this new generation of art students to consider going into art conservation. You can't beat the satisfaction found in helping save history.

One of the nice things about having long relationships with clients is the opportunity to revisit artwork. This is Soapsuds, he was Will Rogers favorite horse and mine as well. He gets pretty dirt out there on the trail, so every two years we give him a good cleaning and hot waxing. As you can see Soapsuds really loves it.

A great project and some really great people to work with too.

Last year we set up a tent to keep the sun off of us while we cleaned and polished the JFK Memorial in Fort Worth. Two days later he was the backdrop for the BLM street mural.

Spent an enjoyable day at the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens cleaning and waxing two bronze frogs. They are by Andre Harvey, and they are worth a closer look.
