Did you know that almost 75% of individuals find their jobs through people they know? That is a huge number, which is why I push so much for my clients to network to find their jobs. Here I am in the picture at a networking mixer I attended last Friday. The key to finding a job really fast is through networking and doing a mixture of different things. Happy Monday Motivation! A little encouragement for Monday morning. I see way too many people on my timeline who have been laid-off right before the holidays. I had this happened to me years ago as I was working as a Recruiter. I felt like all this hard work I did staffing all my jobs, helping others who were struggling, and I still was laid-off, so they can make their end of the year revenue goal. This taught me a hard lesson, it doesn't matter how hard you work, people/companies are always going to look out for themselves first. So should you. Always have a backup plan and another stream of income or two. Don't just rely on your full-time job paycheck. Because that could be gone at the snap of someone's fingers. May someone mention your name without a resume being submitted and you receive your new bigger and better job before the year is out.
