Why do we like to scan your light leaks?
Because sometimes you get magic like this 🌅
This image isn’t technically an image at all, it was created by a faulty light seal.
When light enters the camera where it’s not supposed to, it can create little bursts and flares on your film (known as light leaks). Sometimes that light can bounce off the internal mechanisms of the camera before it hits your film, creating a cool little pattern. The pattern you see here is most likely the imprinted shadow of the camera’s internal pressure plate, but to the artistic eye doesn’t it resemble a glowing moonrise? Film is so cool.
Here at Prisma Film Lab we try to squeeze every bit of magic that we can from your roll. Film is like painting with light, the possibilities are endless 💫
