The enemy is not intimidated by a Christian who attends church. He is intimidated by a Christian who prays. Attendance alone does not threaten darkness. A person can sit in a church service every week and still live spiritually powerless the rest of the week. Information alone does not threaten darkness either. A believer can know Scripture, quote verses, and still never exercise the authority those Scriptures carry.

But prayer is different. Prayer activates something. When a believer prays, heaven is invited into earthly situations. Authority that belongs to the kingdom of God is released into places where darkness once operated without resistance. Prayer shifts atmospheres. It changes the spiritual climate of homes, workplaces, cities, and lives.

This is why the enemy works so hard to interrupt it.

He rarely tries to convince believers that prayer is bad. Instead, he convinces them they are too busy for it.

Too tired. Too distracted. Too overwhelmed.

He fills schedules. He fills minds with worry. He fills quiet moments with noise. Because if he can keep a believer constantly occupied, he can keep them spiritually silent.

And a silent believer is easier to discourage.

When prayer disappears, clarity fades. Small problems begin to feel overwhelming. Anxiety grows louder. Discernment weakens. The believer begins trying to fight spiritual battles with natural strength alone.

But the moment prayer returns, something begins to shift. Peace that didn’t make sense starts settling in. Direction becomes clearer. Strength begins to rise again. What once felt heavy starts to loosen its grip.

Because prayer realigns your life with heaven. Jesus said in Matthew 18:18,
“Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

That means prayer is not passive.
It is participation in God’s authority.

When believers pray, they are drawing lines in the spirit. They are establishing boundaries that darkness cannot freely cross. They are inviting God’s will into places where the enemy hoped to operate unnoticed.

This is why Scripture repeatedly shows powerful believers as people of prayer.
Daniel prayed even when it was illegal.
Jesus withdrew constantly to pray.
The early church gathered and prayed until buildings shook under the power of God.

They understood something many believers today forget. Power flows through prayer.
Darkness does not fear casual Christianity. It does not fear empty routine. It does not fear a believer who only engages their faith occasionally. But it fears a believer who knows how to pray.

Because a praying believer carries authority that darkness cannot easily ignore.

It's my Birthday.

Today I turn 58.

More than anything, I feel incredibly blessed by God.

Blessed to wake up each day.
Blessed to have health, family, friendships, and the opportunity to keep building a life that's purposeful and has meaning.

And the word that marks this year is identity. Maybe clarity. Honestly, both.

This year wasn’t about becoming someone new. It was about remembering who I already am. I know what I carry. That's DESTINY!

Clarity is a gift that only comes from living long enough to see patterns — in people, in systems, and in yourself.

I’m grateful.
For the lessons.
For the strength.
For the becoming.

I'm celebrating alignment over ambition.

Growth is a painful process.

When we ask God for wisdom, He often gives us a trial or a test. When it comes, we waver and want to run the other way from the test or trial. This is when we have to trust God's timing, his methods, his answers and his heart in the way he has chosen to help us grow as he sees fit.

James 1:3-7 NLT
[3] For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. [4] So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. [5] If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. [6] But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. [7] Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.

We need spiritual focus and discernment in order to turn away from idols or things that distract us from intimacy with God. The word of God restores us and transforms us because it is alive and active and capable of renewing our hearts and mind. As believers we can go to God asking Him to confirm His promises in our lives. The fear of God is not terror but rather a reverence, profound respect and acknowledgement of God's holiness and authority.

Psalms 119:37-38 NLT
[37] Turn my eyes from worthless things, and give me life through your word. [38] Reassure me of your promise, made to those who fear you.

Whatever you are facing in life right now, remember that God is strengthening you. It may seem unfair, but you are growing in the Spirit. It's easy to quit but keep going. Keep getting back up even when you fall.

Be strong and courageous and keep going.

Isaiah 43:2 CSB
[2] When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and the rivers will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, and the flame will not burn you.

As the calendar flips to a new year, I find myself evolving again, gaining fresh perspectives, learning new things and releasing outdated views and perspectives.

Through introspection and self-reflection, I'm more motivated in 2026 to decisions and choices that fuel business, ministry and meaningful relationships that have lasting eternal impact.

I'm building a community for those who are ready to live unapologetically meaningful, faith-filled, Spirit-led lives—equipped by God to do the good work we've each been called to do in the earth.

If you hear God's call in your spirit and this resonates with you and you're ready to GROW in 2026, comment "Unapologetic in 2026" and I'll send you the details.

Dear friend, I pray that you are prospering in every way and are in good health, just as your whole life is going well.

𝐀 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐬𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞:

𝘎𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘦 𝘐𝘴𝘯’𝘵 𝘢 𝘓𝘶𝘹𝘶𝘳𝘺—𝘐𝘵’𝘴 𝘢 𝘓𝘪𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦

For many, today is a beautiful day of family, food, and connection.
But for others, Thanksgiving lands differently—because life hasn’t been gentle this year.

Some are pulling up to the table with joy.
Some are pulling up with heartbreak.
And some are pulling up because they’re trying their best to keep moving despite what they’re carrying inside.

Here’s the truth most people won’t say out loud:

𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐤𝐚𝐲.
𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠.

Life will challenge you.
People will disappoint you.
Plans will shift.
Loss will change you.
And sometimes the holidays magnify all of that.

But gratitude—real gratitude—isn’t denial.
It’s direction.
It helps your heart look toward hope even when you’re standing in a hard place.

A breath.
A memory.
A moment of peace.
A person who checked in.
A reminder that God is still present—even in pieces.

And that’s what I want

✔️ What is still working
✔️ Who is still with you
✔️ What strength you’ve discovered in yourself
✔️ The small comforts you usually rush past
✔️ The grace that met you in places you didn’t expect

Gratitude doesn’t erase challenge.
But it does soften the edges.
It clears the fog.
It reminds your heart that you are still supported, still guided, still capable, and still growing—even if the season feels heavy.

And if today is easy for you, be gentle with someone else who might be holding their pain quietly.
If today is heavy for you, let this be a reminder:
You’re not behind. You’re not failing. You’re human. And you’re healing.

May your Thanksgiving be filled with moments—small or big—where gratitude gives you fresh perspective and a little more hope than you had yesterday.

Happy Thanksgiving,
