Soon, we’ll reveal critical statistics for Texas, not just numbers, but echoes of the many children’s harrowing experiences, urging us to act and protect.

The impact of abuse is devastating, affecting victims’ emotional, psychological, and physical well-being. Today’s challenges, including the pandemic’s effects, highlight the need for immediate, comprehensive strategies to combat child abuse and neglect.

There’s hope in our collective action. Prevention is possible through our concerted efforts to create safe, supportive environments where children are cherished, free from fear and harm.

The team at the University of North Texas and at University of Utah is working on a pilot study called the South Asian Adapted Trauma and Health Intervention (SAATHI).

They’re looking for South Asians living in the US who have experienced extremely stressful life events to participate in group or individual discussions, which will help us develop a culturally adapted trauma intervention for the South Asian community.

Participants will receive monetary compensation for their input ! If you or someone you know might be interested, please reach out for more details or share this post to help spread the word.

📚𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 🚌! Here are some words of encouragement for our little ones who are anxious about going to school, from preschool to 2nd grade 💛.

Remember, it’s OK to have mixed feelings about going to school. Let your little ones know that their emotions are valid, and that it’s natural to feel a mix of excitement and nervousness.

Encourage them to talk about their feelings, and assured him that you’ll always be there to support them. With time and patience, most children adjust to the school routine and come to love their school 🖍️experience.

The new school year 🏫 is right around the corner and we have 8 𝗙𝗨𝗡 𝗧𝗜𝗣𝗦 to help get our little ones ready and excited about the new school year! 👧🏽👦🏼

We understand that not all families may have the resources or time to engage in all the suggested activities for preparing their child for the new school year. And that is perfectly OK!

Remember, it’s the love ❤️ and support you provide that will make the biggest difference in your child’s readiness and enthusiasm for the new school year. Every child is unique, and your understanding and encouragement will help them thrive, academically and emotionally.

Don’t forget to breathe 🧘‍♂️ and take one step at a time and never forget that even small gestures can have a significant impact! You’re doing an excellent job as a parent, and your child is lucky to have you by their side! YOU GOT THIS!

📚✨ We had the absolute delight of returning to Heart House for another magical reading session with the third to fifth graders! 🌟💫

This time, we journeyed with Dr. Seuss’s classic, Oh, the Places You’ll Go! and had a blast 😂 with The Little Troublemaker Makes a Mess! Watching the kids’ faces light up with each turn of the page was pure joy! 📖✨

Reading is such a fun adventure because it lets us explore new worlds, spark imaginations, and share laughter together. A huge thank you 🙏🏽 to Heart House 💛 for giving us this wonderful opportunity to connect with these amazing children! 💖🌈
