🆕 New Look, Same License
Starting August 18, the Texas Department of Public Safety began issuing newly designed driver licenses and ID cards featuring enhanced security features and a sleek, updated layout. These new cards include a black, laser-engraved star for REAL ID compliance and are made from tamper-resistant polycarbonate material to help prevent counterfeiting.
Already have a license with the old design? No worries—it’s still valid until its expiration date, and you don’t need to replace it early
